About Us

I have owned and operated The Body Mechanist in Wareham since 2012.  I graduated in 2003 and from there trained with a Bonnie Prudden Myotherapist, where I discovered my love of trigger point work and human restoration. In 2008 I earned my aesthetics degree and trained with Best of Boston Spa, Bella Boutique. I have continued to expand my skills having over 500 hours of CE's that includes over 180 hours of fresh tissue cadaver dissection from the anatomical research center in Colorado Springs. I have volunteered for the Massachusetts Chapter of the American Massage Therapy Association since 2006 and am currently president of the board of directors.  I am also one of the only expert witnesses for Massage Therapy in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.  

Massage therapy is one of the greatest loves of my life, and it’s a gift to be doing what I love every day. I strive to advance my profession while helping my clients get the best care for their bodies. It’s even reflected in the name of my business: bod·y: (n) Your physical structure; the human machine that you drive around every day of your life. mech·a·nist: (n) A person skilled in the repair and maintenance of machines. Nichole Cross

 I am a trained Skin Care Professional. I received an education at Spa Tech  and was Licensed in 2008 in Massachusetts.  I believe skin is the identity of a person and beautiful skin has the power to show your strong confidence. Just ask any pre-teen with a face full of acne how much he/she dislikes going to school and watch that same teen prance thru the halls with clearer brighter skin after treatment. I was that girl and due of my background and training I have become very skilled at determining which treatment can enhance each individual perfectly. I love educating teens, helping them start healthy skin care regimens and showing maturing women how to soften fine lines. My treatment room is an absolute happy place and the laughter that you hear coming from my room proves that as well as the exhales from the restored clients after a facial, wax or body treatment.  I love what I do, come in and let me show you!Say something interesting about your business here.

 I attended Bancroft School of Massage Therapy in 2016/2017. I have been practicing at The Body Mechanist for 5 years. My former career in healthcare as a nurse adds to my experience in understanding the human body and assists me in my approach.  I help people by hearing their stories; listening to their needs and using a combination of techniques to relieve their pain and assist them in healing from their injuries.  Low Backs and necks are my specialties, and I love to help people with their muscular issues.

I graduated from Polarity Realization Institute massage school in 1999 and received continuing education at The Bancroft School of Massage in 2015.  I chose to go into massage therapy because of my genuine desire to help people feel better.  My favorite thing is when people get off the massage table and can move freely.  My specialty is low back, hip and neck work. I love working at The Body Mechanist, the women are caring, supportive and always willing to share their knowledge..

I graduated from massage school in Orlando, Florida, in 1993. Together with my wife, we  
owned a spa in downtown Orlando for 30 yrs. 
In 1995, I worked with the British Olympic Team at their summer training camp; I was appointed to the medical staff as a massage therapist at both the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta and the 2004 Olympics in Greece. 
I have advanced certifications in Core Myofascial Bodywork & Core Structural Integration. My prime focus includes integrative bodywork for improving movement and health, working with athletes, pre & post event, injury rehab, and joint replacement rehab.
